Evil Dead the Musical is AWESOME!

Did Tanya's Combat class today at noon hour. Good time. Missed doing it.

Didn't skate this week, and was hoping to skate in Montreal this weekend when we go for the Arcade Fire concert, but I don't think it would happen.

WHAT I ATE TODAY
Orange Juice, yogurt, nature's path zen and power cereal in light soy milk. Booster Juice with Wilderness boost, wine gums, pickle and green beans, gazpatcho soup with hot sauce and olives. Lobster and corn soup. seared tuna, risotto, bread and hummus, ice tea,

This is my BOOM Stick

Did weights today at Manulife noon hour with Jacob. Took it a bit easy, clean and press, shoulders, and chest was a bit more difficult. Kept the weights extra easy on Squats to allow the legs to recover better.

WHAT I ATE TODAY
Strawberry Yogurt with bananas, Nature's Path zen and power cereal with light soy milk. french fries, cheeseburger, ice tea, orange juice, gazpatcho with hot sauce, olives and pickle, steak, ministrone, wine gum, mushroom pizza, chocolate brownie, Limonata, Orangita, Ice tea.

Learning 2 Sew

Small Combat class this morning at Victoria Terrace. It went suprisingly well. I managed to do the high impact options for the jump kicks etc after all. I think I just needed to get my legs moving. Still a little sore and hard to walk, but it's nice to be back in the swing of things. I brought apples for my students, which seemed to go over well. I've also been trying to remember everyone's names, which has been going better than I expected since I'm so bad with names. The small group that was there this morning seemed to enjoy themselves.

Jen pointed out yesterday that I should be drinking much more water than I have been in order to cleanse my body of the toxins that built up during the marathon. I'll have to remember to drink more water to aid in recovery.

WHAT I ATE TODAY
Nature's Path Zen and Power Cereal in light soy milk. Flax bagel with light cream cheese, frozen beans, pickles, gazpatcho soup, apple, banana and strawberry Omega 3 Yogurt. Orange Juice, Booster Juice with warrior boost, whole grain bread with veggie hot dogs.

Verdi

Yoga today with Frances at Mount Pleasant noon hour. I don't do her class often, but what I do love about it is that you get a little aromatherapy massage during the final relaxation.

I practiced my Combat a bit afterwards. I think I can do the kickboxing class tomorow if I do the low impact options. Ankle/shin is still bothering me. I can walk better today.

WHAT I ATE TODAY
Orange Juice, BK Chicken Sandwhich, white bagel with light cream cheese, wine gums, hagen daz ice cream bar, Orangina soda, Reese Peanut Butter cups.

The Killers

Feeling stiff and sore this morning. Not sure if my left ankle is injured or just a result of the marathon. Had trouble moving and walking. I should try and stretch it out or go for a massage tomorrow.

Hopefully I will be recovered somewhat before I need to teach kickboxing on Wednesday morning. At the very least I can do the low-impact options.

When Pig's Fly

The Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinatti went really well. Couldn't have asked for better weather and we ran Jen's Dad in within the expected time frame. A nice way to welcome his sixth decade.

I never seem to anticipate how tough hills can be. The first half of the marathon was almost constant climbing. It's my weakness in inline, and it appears not to be a strength in running either. Toronto is relatively flat in terms of the routes I do compared to other cities. Normally the first half at such a moderate pace is easy for me, but with the uphill, I found my left ankle suffering pretty early, although I was able to keep going past the discomfort. Thank goodness for advils.

The other thing I did wrong was not scale back my diet prior, and particularly during the roadtrip on Friday and Saturday. I also overate the night before and felt pretty bloated when I was running on Sunday morning. I will have to start eating well for the next three weeks.

Too much bad food. including pasta and quesadilias with lots of cheese, hamburgers and french fries, fried chicken, bagel cream cheese, fruit, yogurt, soup, corn, raspberry lemonade, stuffing with gravy, fish, chocolate milk shake,
