Red Egg and Ginger Day

Rained today so we didn't skate. Planning on going out really early tomorrow for a long skate with Joel Stitt.

WHAT I ATE TODAY
Flax Bagel with light cream cheese, banana, Green Goodness smoothie, tofu, greens, noodles, rice, fake shark fin soup, coke, sprite, suckling pig and skin, bean curd, mushrooms.

Back into the Habit

I really need to start reassessing my regimen now as we approach the end of the season with two major events left.

THURSDAY
I did Body Pump with Kimmie late afternoon at St Clair. Missed the warmup and squats. All weights the same except I went back down to 9kg for lunges. Used the bar for shoulders. After that I did a spinning class taught by Linda. I felt a bit sluggish for the Pump, but energized after the Spinning. It's amazing how switching up your routine a bit can shift things.

WHAT I ATE ON THUSDAY
Organic Greens and Spinish Salad with fig dressing and smoked tofu, Black Bean Gazpatcho Soup, part of a dry orange, Lick's Nature Burger with all the fixin's, Lentil Soup from Fresh, Hot Fudge Sundea from Lick's.


TODAY (FRIDAY)
Tanya's noon hour Body Combat Class at St Clair. Felt really good, went back to an old release.

WHAT I ATE TODAY
Peach, flax Bagel with light Cream Cheese, Booster Juice, Gazpatcho with hot sauce, orange beef, spicy thai noodles, rice, mango chicken, green mango salad, curry chicken, ice cream and cake, dr pepper, green drink.

Yog and Skate

Went to Yvonne's Yoga and stretch class this morning. Very stiff from the BP class the day before (combined with the moving I would think).

At the track we did 12 warmup laps and then 2 1000's. Kept up okay with Camilo and Travis for the first round, left in the dust around the first corner for the second. Not much of a practice. Less than 2 weeks until Duluth! Not feeling as prepared as I should.

WHAT I ATE TODAY:
Strawberries and Yogurt, Chicken Noodle Soup, Wiener Schnitzel sandwhich, hungary sausage and perogies with sour cream. Booster Juice, Greek Potatoes, flaming cheese and pita, Quail, Pork Souvlaki, 2 lamb chops, Greek Salad, vegetables.

Moving is good Excercise

Weighed myself at St Clair today and I'm still at around 154 lbs. It would appear that the continuous moving is better excercise than I thought it was! There are many stairs involved.

I did Body Pump at St Clair during noon hour. Justin was teaching. He's got a good attitude. Since it was a taper week last week, some stuff was much tougher again. Most notably the biceps, although I could feel it in the chest and the clean and press as well. All weights back to normal, including lunges at 17kg. We did the shoulder track with the bar, it was interesting to be working them at a different angle, not sure if the added weight of the bar made it tougher. Struggled with pushups, both regular and triceps.

Looking forward to getting back on the track tomorrow for an unofficial Camalean skate.

WHAT I ATE TODAY:
Black Bean Gazpatcho Soup, yogurt with blueberries and strawberries, apple, banana, 2 flax bread veggie cheese and veggie pepperoni sandwhiches, chicken and beef Fajitas, 2 virgin Margueritas.

WASHOUT!

The long weekend turned out to be a bit of a dissappointment in that the rain prevented me from doing the Ottawa Inline Festival, which was the most enjoyable race for me last year where I achieved a new personal best for a marathon at 1:23.53.


SATURDAY
Yet another rest day. My body was tired from moving anyways.

WHAT I ATE ON SATURDAY
Salmon sashimi, salmon skin maki, salmon maki, Fried chicken, teriyaki and tempenyaki chicken, beef dumplings, miso soup, tempenyaki vegetables, chicken udon fried noodles, rolo and peanut butter cup ice cream on a chocolate waffle cone, 1/2 bowl of ginger carrot soup and cornbread, fruit smoothie, 1/2 bowl of soba noodles with peanut sauce, tofu steaks, tomato and zuccini, steamed greens.


SUNDAY
Jen and I woke up early and walked over to the Mount Pleasant Goodlife from the new condo. I did some of Jen's weight program with free weights, chest machine, and abs. 75 minutes Spinning Class taught by Steve. Body Flow with Sandra after that.

I weighed myself and was down to 154 lbs according to the scale at Mount Pleasant.

Also did some moving, which meant carrying stuff up and down stairs as an additional workout.

WHAT I ATE ON SUNDAY
Whole Wheat and Honey Bagel with light cream cheese, banana, 1/2 bowl of soba noodles with peanut sauce, tofu steaks, tomato and zuccini, strawberry yogurt with blueberries and strawberries, Mango Lemonade, Lick's Veggie Burger, Sponge Cake, organic and baby spinich salad with smoked tofu, strawberries and fig dressing, Gazpatcho Soup with black bean. General Tao's Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup, Chinese Mushrooms and greens, Beef in black bean sauce, Singapore noodles, bowl of white rice.


MONDAY
No real physical activity other than a bit more moving and skating down to the bus station to say goodbye to Louise.

WHAT I ATE TODAY (MONDAY)
Smoked Meat and Swiss Cheese Omelette, whole wheat toast, 2 pancakes, fresh orange juice, chocolate/strawberry shake. Booster Juice with Warrior Booster, bbq pork bao, rice crepes, Gazpatcho soup with hot sauce, fruit drink.
