Missed Pump. Feeling Guilty.

I missed going to Pump today. My own fault, skipping the noon hour class because I was running late and then misreading the Marville Goodlife schedule thinking there was a 4:45 that I could go to instead of the 4:30 at Steeles/Victoria Park.

Then I went out and at Chinese with my family.

Feeling really guilty about it, particularly coupled with the Thai take-out yesterday and the all you could eat Sushi the night before that. I was really happy to step on a couple of scales this week and see myself at 159 lbs. I'm feeling really guilty about it right now, I have to be more forgiving of myself in these situations.

I really have no self control once you put food in front of me. I'm hoping to put on some serious mileage this weekend.

WHAT I ATE TODAY:
Whole Wheat Spaghetti and Pasta. Strawberry Juice with Bubbles, Mango Crepe with Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and Chocolate syrup, hot and sour soup, beef and broccoli, chinese broccoli, fish, white rice, nestea, popsicle, softshell crab.

3,000's

I did about 20km today on the track and skated to and from practice.

I did 5 x 3,000m (7 1/2 laps). I managed to keep up with Camila and Travis for the first 3, fell off and did the 4th on my own and then we did the last one as a group. Skated reverse 7 laps. My reverse crossovers feel better.

WHAT I ATE TODAY:
Whole Wheat Pasta and veggies, Gazpatcho Soup with hot sauce, Gatorade, Mango Chicken and Veggies with rice, Green Goodness Juice, Orange drink.

All You can Eat Sushi

At Bettina's Pump Class down in the McCaul gym we switched up the music this week.

All weights remained the same. Notably the Biceps at 9kg seemed to go better today. Everything else seemed relatively okay. Kept the lunges at 9kg to save my legs for skating.

Flow tonight was nice. Sharon is obviously on Summer Break, given how relaxed she seemed.

Grey Day

Tanya's noon hour Body Combat Class at Manulife. Forgot to eat first! Grabbed a handful of crackers, but I really felt slow and tired through the class. I'll be teaching the class next week.

SK8 practice is cancelled today. I wish I had gone to practice on Friday night.

WHAT I ATE TODAY:
Crackers, banana, Booster Juice with Power Boost, Whole Wheat pasta with veggie beef, onions, salsa, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and zuccini, popsicle, Gazpatcho with olives and hot sauce, yogurt with banana.

50km to Whitby

I skated out to Marty's 50th Birthday party out in Whitby.

Total mileage came out to 50.13km and it took about 3 hours from my front door to Marty's place. I took a long stop along the Danforth because it was Taste of the Danforth.

For the most part it was a very good skate with extremely good pavement. Bloor street to the Danforth was pretty rough with sand and gravel and tar snakes. Hopefully they will repave soon. It used to be a much better bike lane. Danforth was excellent and I would love to skate it again early on a Sunday when there is even less traffic. Not much cars on a Sunday anyways with Taste of the Danforth, and very smooth. Kingston Road/Hwy2 was also very good with three lanes and very wide space, until before Pickering and then traffic started to get a bit unruly and there were periods of bad tar. Some intense hills as well. Pretty smooth pavement for most of the way and then at Brock I cut up to Rossland which had a great paved sidewalk/bike lane until just prior to Whitby where it cut down to one lane and traffic started to get a bit difficult again. Once it opened up to two lanes, things were fine again. Some great hills. I felt like the journey was pretty net-downhill.
